BACKGROUND:
Staff is requesting that the Council consider appointing Robert Butler and James Green to the Board of Adjustment to fill the two Regular member seats that have been left vacant by Nancy Elliott and Bruce Gilmore when their terms expired.
Robert Butler is interested in getting involved with the community and has both a real estate license and a CAM license in Florida. He is familiar with participating in meetings as well as directing meetings. After speaking with the Clerk, he expressed an interest in both the Board of Adjustment as well as the Planning and Zoning Board and ultimately decided to proceed with pursuing a spot on the BOA.
James Green is also interested in serving his community by participating on a City board and previously served on the Titusville Historic Advisory Board. He currently serves on the Brevard Public Schools ICOC.
Additionally, these vacancies were posted on the City’s website and were advertised on the City’s social media accounts.
Each applicant meets the requirements for serving on a City board. Both applications are attached for Council’s review, along with a board roster.
