BACKGROUND:
The City of Cocoa Building Department currently leases a Ford F-150 for use by the Building Official. That lease expires in April, and it was determined that purchasing a new truck would be more cost effective than a long-term lease. The new GMC Sierra 1500 4WD is currently in stock at the fleet sales dealer and would be delivered within the next 30-60 days. The Building Official requires a 4WD truck for the purposes of driving on construction sites for inspections.
Staff requests approval of BAF#24-065-A in the amount of $48,220 from the Building Fund Balance Reserves for this purchase and to approve participation in the Cooperative Purchasing Agreement using Sourcewell Contract 2024 091521-NAF&06.
