BACKGROUND:
Following discussions with individual City Council members, a First Addendum to the existing City Manager’s Employment Agreement is proposed. The City is currently in a state of unprecedented growth that will require leadership continuity over the next 3 to 4 years. It is requested the existing Employment Agreement be amended to accommodate this need.
The addendum would provide for the amendments.
• The term of the agreement would be extended from the current ending date of midnight October 8, 2025 to October 8, 2027.
• The annual salary of the Manager would be capped at the current annual salary through the term of the contract.
In conjunction with this item, Councilmembers will also provide the City Manager with performance evaluations.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:
There is positive budgetary and financial impact associated with this request as the City Manager’s annual salary would be capped at the current amount for the next three fiscal years.
