Consider the reappointments of Mr. Elliott Zimmerman and Mr. Milton Norris Park as members of the Board of Trustees for the Firefighters’ Retirement Plan through September 30, 2028.

BACKGROUND:
Mr. Norris Park has served on the Board of Trustees for the Fire Pension since April, 1996 and has been reappointed on a regular basis since. His current term expires on September 30, 2024, and he has expressed a willingness to serve for an additional four years.
Mr. Park meets all of the qualifications for serving on a City board, and his intent to reapply letter is attached for review. If reappointed, Mr. Park’s term would be through September 30, 2028.
Mr. Zimmerman has served as a Council appointed member of the Fire Pension Board since September, 2014. He was reappointed in 2020 and his current term expires September 30, 2024. He has expressed a willingness to serve for another four years.
Mr. Zimmerman meets all qualifications to serve on a City board. If reappointed, his term will be through September 30, 2028. His intent to reapply letter and a current Fire Pension Board roster is attached for your review.
These positions were advertised on the city’s website and social media in accordance with the city’s newly adopted board appointment procedure.
