BACKGROUND:
In 2015, Public Works staff selected qualified contractors to provide various technical services in accordance with the Florida Consultant Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) process. Council entered into Continuing Service Agreements with consultants to provide services on an as needed basis which have assisted the Public Works staff in completing many capital projects. These consultants entered into three-year contracts with two each two-year renewal clauses in January 2016. On January 23, 2019, Council approved the first Amendment renewal for two (2) years, which expired on January 26, 2021. The Purchasing Division has sent out the second and final renewal notices and all firms wish to renew their respective contracts. Firms have provided responsive services; therefore, staff recommends that these contracts be amended to renew for the final two-year term extending contract ending final end dates to January 26, 2023.
