BACKGROUND:
The Contract Services account was originally funded to support two program initiatives, one for $35,000, awarded annually to the Alliance for Neighborhood Restoration (ANR), and the other $10,000, set aside for future use as a Diamond Square Program Initiative.
This spring the Agency decided that they wanted to send out an invitation to apply to this second initiative. So, in the summer of this year, Staff released an invitation to apply for these funds. A single application was received by the deadline and has been moved forward to approval in the next agenda item.
Meanwhile, these funds had been drawn on for the FY23 funds that had already been rolled over, thus creating a shortfall, that this adjustment corrects.
That draw was for the 2023 class of the Summer Enrichment Program, run by Ms. Sherry Amos, Director of the Learning and Achievement Center.
The Agency approved these funds at their November 20, 2023 meeting, retroactively reimbursing for the June 2023 class of the Summer Enrichment Program.
