BACKGROUND:
During 2022, the Fire Alarm Panel at the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse stopped operating correctly as the display no longer functioned. Replacement parts are unavailable and it became necessary to upgrade the Fire Alarm Panel and related systems. This upgrade is necessary for life safety.
Additional equipment is determined to be required for the completion of the Fire Alarm System Replacement at the Cocoa Historic Playhouse. The intention of this project was to use the existing strobe-only devices. It has been determined that the existing devices are very old and do not have a compatible UL listing and are not approved for use with the new Silent Knight fire alarm panel.
STRATEGIC PLAN CONNECTION:
A working Fire Alarm Panel is essential for the life safety of the Playhouse.

PREVIOUS ACTION:
Bid B-23-16-COC was broadcast on January 31, 2023 closing on Thursday, March 2, 2023. One response was received with Integrated Fire & Security Solutions, Inc. (IFSS) as low bidder with a total of $113,602. IFSS has performed work for the City of Cocoa prior and is a vendor in good standing.
