BACKGROUND:

The Planning and Zoning Board currently has four Regular member vacancies. Mr. Frank Manfredi and Ms. Tamisha Findlay have submitted an application to the Clerk's office to be considered for appointment.

Merrybeth Burgess is currently the 1st Alternate member on the Planning and Zoning Board and has served since January, 2022. She is interested in being appointed to a Regular member seat. Should Council decide to appoint Ms. Burgess to a Regular member seat, the position of 1st Alternate would then become available.

Ms. Findlay would like to be a younger voice for the future of our great city. She is passionate about the expansion and growth of the city.

Mr. Manfredi is the President of Manfredi & Associates, Inc. that was founded in 1984. The company is a unique marketing information firm that specializes in the construction, mining, farm and material handling equipment industry. Mr. Manfredi also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University and a Masters of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. His biography is also attached to this item for review.

It should be clarified that two of the four vacancies hold three-year terms through November, 2027. The third and fourth vacancies will fulfill the remaining terms of Justin Simpson and Veronica Lopez through November, 2024.

If approved, it is at the discretion of the City Council to determine which term they would like each applicant to fulfill.

Each applicant currently meets the eligibility requirements for serving on a City board.
