BACKGROUND:
The Cocoa Public Works Street Department Streets Division needs a Road Roller Vibrator. There 1996 Bomag Roller Vibrator was surplus for auction in 2021, the unit at that time was 25 years old. The roller was in poor condition due to its age the equipment was obsolete repair parts were unavailable. Staff is requesting to use of remaining balances of CSLFRF (ARPA) funds in the amount of $39,987 to purchase a replacement Road Roller.
This purchase will be made utilizing the Florida Sheriff Association Purchasing Contract FSA23-EQU21 and is within the City Managers purchasing authority.
The new Road Roller 2024 39.4" HAMM HD 10C VV Double Drum Roller, with optional equipment will provide Public Works Department with an asset to support on going road and sidewalk repair and maintenance of City of Cocoa Roads & Sidewalks.
