BACKGROUND:
During any given calendar year, the number of street closures approved by the City Council within the Central Business District (CBD) zoning district shall not exceed twenty-four (24) days. Any street closure lasting in excess of four (4) hours shall be counted as one full day, while any street closure of four (4) hours or less shall be counted as one half day per the Special Events Ordinance No. 01-2016.

Total Closure - One Day.

Total Closure - One Day.
If approved, the total number of street closures will remain at 23 for the 2020 calendar year.
STRATEGIC PLAN CONNECTION:
The Approval of the road closures will help to enhance the image of Cocoa as an inviting destination for visitors as well as re-enforce a sense of community and increased event participation for its citizens
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The City receives $50.00 for each group that requests a street closure.
PREVIOUS ACTION:
The 2020 Road Closure requests were approved by City Council on December 11, 2019. The original date of March 27, 2020 for this event was part of the road closures approved on this date. The event promoter has requested a new date for this event of April 3, 2020.
