Consider the reappointments of Mr. Michael Kirn and Mr. Paul Kamus as members of the Police Pension Board through September 30, 2024; and ratify the appointment of Mr. John A. Casey to the Police Pension Board as the fifth member through September 30, 2024.

BACKGROUND:
Mr. Paul Kamus has served on the Board of Trustees for the Police Officers' Retirement Plan since April, 2009. Previous to this board, Mr. Kamus served on the Fire Pension Board from March, 1997 until November, 2008. His current term expires on September 30, 2020, and he has expressed a willingness to serve for another four years. Mr. Kamus meets all of the qualifications for serving on a City board.
Mr. Michael Kirn is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Police Officers' Retirement Plan and has been a member since June, 2011. He was reappointed to the board in September 2012, September 2014 and September 2018. His current term also expires on September 30, 2020, and he has expressed a willingness to serve for another four years. Mr. Kirn meets all of the qualifications for serving on a City board.
The Fifth member of the Board of Trustees for the Police Officers' Retirement Plan has been held by Mr. John Casey since December, 2010. He has expressed a willingness to serve for another four years and meets the qualifications for serving on the board. Mr. Casey's reappointment must be ratified by the Cocoa City Council.
If reappointed, Mr. Kamus and Mr. Kirn will serve through September 30, 2024, and if ratified, Mr. Casey will also serve through September 30, 2024. Their intent to reapply letters and a current roster for the Police Pension Board are attached for your review.
