BACKGROUND:
The City of Cocoa had three (3) Council seats open in the November 3, 2020 General Election. Those who qualified to run in the General Election are as follows:
Mayor: Allen Cowart
Michael C. Blake
Bob Harvey
Henry U. Parrish III
Jake Williams, Jr.
District 2: Lavander Hearn
Stephanie Moretto
District 3: Rip Dyal
Jennifer Kenny
The OFFICIAL results of the Mayor’s race are as follows:
Michael C. Blake 3,170 votes
Allen Cowart 673 votes
Bob Harvey 1,684 votes
Henry Parrish 1,104 votes
Jake Williams, Jr. 1,970 votes
The OFFICIAL results of the District 2 & District 3 race are as follows:
District 2:
Lavander Hearn 910 votes
Stephanie Moretto 619 votes
District 3:
Rip Dyal 1,602 votes
Jennifer Kenny 1,464 votes
The City of Cocoa did not have any referendums in this election.
Cocoa’s City Charter requires that the City Council declare the result of the election after the election results are canvassed.
