BACKGROUND:
The City of Cocoa and the Virgin Trains USA Florida, LLC executed a Settlement Implementation Agreement pursuant to two previous Development Agreements the property located at I-95 and State Road 528. The City of Cocoa has agreed to design, permit and construct water, sewer and reclaim services to this property subject to certain terms for development. Upon completion of the utility construction, the total utility expenses will be reimbursed by the Developer as stipulated in the agreement.
This task order for professional engineering and consulting services will consist of providing engineering design in support of the proposed Lakes at Cocoa Grove subdivision, via extension of a force main, reuse main and waterline of undetermined size from existing utilities facilities generally located along Industry Road and extending west to the property. The subdivision is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Interstate 95 and State Road 528 with approximately 350 single-family lots to be developed.
This proposal will provide the following services:
- Surveying Services
- Engineering Services
- Geotechnical Services
The total cost for this project is $101,900. The timing for the agreed upon utility extensions were not determined specifically and was not budgeted. Therefore, a budget transfer is necessary to move funds from Account No. 421-4010-536.39-00, Contingency, to Account No. 421-4055-536.63-00, WS21CG.
