Paving, No. B-6-20-57, from August 22, 2022, through August 21, 2023, to resurface various stretches of roads throughout the City, pending the approval of FY 23 budget. End

BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department has an annual repaving program to address roads that are in failing or poor condition. In 2015, the city completed an entire analysis of the road and sidewalk network. The analysis included the evaluation of the pavement condition, roadway structural condition, and sidewalk trip hazards. The study is updated annually through the use of Staff evaluation, work orders, and GIS and serves as a guiding program to address the City’s needs. While the roadway conditions are scored through an industry-standard degradation schedule, staff also performs on-site analysis to ensure resources are allocated in the best manner.
This fiscal year the following streets are scheduled to be milled and paved.

STRATEGIC PLAN CONNECTION:
Road repair and maintenance are essential in order to (1) preserve the road in its originally
constructed condition, (2) protect adjacent resources and user safety, and (3) provide efficient, convenient travel along the route.
