BACKGROUND:
On November 13, 2019, City Council approved the final ranking of firms for RFQ-20-03-COC, Engineering Services for the Water System, and authorized the City Manager and City Attorney to negotiate and execute a multi-year contract with the selected firm, Jacobs Engineering Group (Jacobs). This agreement was entered into on February 5, 2020, for three years with the option to extend the term for two (2) additional two (2) year terms.
On December 13, 2022, City Council approved the first amendment of the current agreement which initiated the first two-year renewal option, extending the term of the agreement through February 4, 2025.
Proposed Task Order No. 2024-35 covers the period from date of October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 with the following engineering services:
Task 1 - Project Management, Engineering and Operations Support
Jacobs will provide project management, engineering and operations support to Dyal
Treatment Plant staff for both capital and renewal and replacement (R&R) projects related to the water supply and water treatment systems.
Task 2 - SCADA, Process Control Systems and Instrumentation Support
Jacobs will provide project management, engineering and operations support of the Dyal
Treatment Plant Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, process
control systems, network and server systems, and instrumentation.
Task 3 - Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Support
Jacobs will provide project management, engineering, and technical support for the Dyal
Water Treatment Plant Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The
CMMS is a central repository for water treatment assets and is used to develop work orders
and track maintenance history.
Staff recommends approval of Task Order No. 2024-35 for $434,676.00 with the Jacobs Engineering Group, pending approval of the FY2024 Budget.
