BACKGROUND:
The City uses Fisher and Phillips, LLP to handle labor legal matters and budgets annually for miscellaneous matters. The related expenses vary year to year depending on the need. The current purchase order is for $70,000 and it is realized that staff will need approximately an additional $25,000 to cover the remaining expenses for this Fiscal Year.
Staff is requesting to transfer budgeted funds from another legal account to cover these expenses and approval for a change order on PO# 80367 in the amount of $25,000. This change order puts the total amount over the City Manager’s authority. A copy of the budget transfer form is attached.
