body

BACKGROUND:

Previously, the City of Cocoa successfully secured cybersecurity capabilities through the Florida Local Government Cybersecurity Grant program. Funded by Florida Digital Services, these capabilities are granted to the City for implementation, with an awarded value of $110,806.66 for the current year, equivalent to an approximate retail value of $1.1 million.

To sustain the utilization of these capabilities, the City must either reapply for the grant program or allocate funds within the FY2025 budget. Additionally, funding is required to extend coverage from July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, as the current licenses expire on June 30, 2024. Florida Digital Service prioritizes the renewal of existing capabilities before considering new awards.

The City is not obligated to provide matching funds or adhere to reporting requirements with Florida Digital Service under this grant program.
